Belarus and Pakistan intensify co-operation in transport and logistics

On 4 April, representatives of the Ministries of Transport and Communications of Belarus and Pakistan held a working meeting in Minsk. The parties discussed the development of partnership in transport and logistics.

New Steps Towards Partnership

The focus was on air, road, and rail transport. Emphasis was placed on practical measures to create a sustainable logistics system between the two countries.

What has already been done

The Belarusian Ministry of Transport has developed logistics schemes for cargo delivery to Pakistan using international transport corridors. Direct links have also been established between logistics companies of the two countries.

The minister named liberalisation of the road transport market as one of the key factors for creating an efficient transport system.

Agreements and documents:

  • An intergovernmental agreement on international road transport was signed in November 2024.
  • In February 2025, a trilateral memorandum of understanding was signed between logistics companies of Belarus, Russia and Pakistan.
