At the end of 2024, our client bought two Tesla 2022 cars at an auction in the USA, but was unable to deliver them from Klaipeda to Belarus. Direct delivery of the cars was impossible, additionally later it turned out that the car had incomplete packages of documents. The client found himself in a deadlock, not knowing how to solve this complex logistical problem.

Problem faced by the client:

• Need to transport Tesla which are classified as ADR cargo (dangerous goods).
• Lack of documentation for this type of cargo (except for the title and invoice).
• Restrictions blocking direct auto shipping.
• High logistics costs.

RTL Alliance took the role of a guide, offering the client a clear plan of action:

1. Analyzing the situation: we contacted the declarants at the parking lot where the cars were located and found out that there were no documents except for the titles.
2. Search for solutions: RTL Alliance specialists contacted a company that was engaged in car buyback in the USA and found the missing documents (chemical safety passport) necessary for transportation of electric cars.
3. Opportunity check: our company checked the possibility of sea transportation of such cargoes and made sure that all documents were in order.
4. Cost optimization: to reduce the client's costs, we found another vehicle for joint transportation, which reduced costs by a third.
5. Transportation organization: the vehicles were loaded into containers, photos were taken to confirm loading, and the shipment departed by sea to Turkey.
6. Transit: upon arrival in Turkey, the cars were reloaded into another container and shipped to Novorossiysk.
7. Final stage: from Novorossiysk the cargo was delivered to Belarus by car carrier.

Result:

Despite all the difficulties - lack of documents, restrictions, the need to transit through third countries - the cargo was successfully delivered to Belarus in December. The client, who initially doubted the possibility of delivery, received the car by the holidays and was extremely satisfied with the result.
