Artificial intelligence will monitor the safety of Belarusian cargo in the port of Vladivostok
The Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port started using AI-based video analytics. The solution was implemented by FESCO Transportation Group and NtechLab within the Smart and Safe Port project.
How the system works:
Artificial intelligence controls the perimeter of the port, monitors attempts of unauthorised access to restricted areas.- It records the movement of vehicles, recognises number plates and stores the history of movements.
- It monitors occupational safety: if employees are not wearing waistcoats, masks or gloves, the system instantly signals the responsible services.
The port serves up to 5,000 people every day. The use of AI makes it possible to ensure traffic control and cover the territory without additional staff.
The next step is container logistics management
The second stage will expand AI capabilities:
- Recognition of containers by numbers and prefixes
- Accounting of loading and transshipment times
- Formation of a unified video monitoring system of more than 3,000 cameras
Why it is important for logistics in Belarus
The Port of Vladivostok is one of the key logistics hubs through which cargo shipments from Russia to Belarus pass. Construction materials, metals, grain crops, ore and other products enter the country through it.
